As interpreters, we work in various settings: schools, colleges, hospitals, offices, political rallies, concert venues, social gatherings, and many others. What do all these locations have in common? They have all experienced an Active Shooter situation.

Have you ever considered what you would do in the unlikely event the unthinkable happens? Are you able to recognize the sound of gunfire? Can you push aside ‘normalcy bias’ and react to what others believe are “just fireworks”? Would you know how to load, fire, unload, and make safe common firearms if it meant protecting yourself?

Come to the Emergency Response: Active Shooter Training & Range Time Workshop on Sunday, September 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Clark County Shooting Complex Education Center.
