Bio: Katie Carlo is a passionate, high energy massage therapist with fourteen years of hands on experience. She loves educating people on how their bodies work and the best ways to keep them healthy. Workshop Description: As a sign language interpreter you use your body, especially your arms and hands in a unique way, often repetitively, on a daily basis. Katie will discuss the anatomy throughout your hand, arm and torso. Participants will color and label parts of the bones and muscles on a ditto sheet.  Join us in discussing common injuries associated with sign language interpreting, as well as the signs and symptoms. Lastly, learn about self-care; things you can do to help PREVENT injuries to yourself and create career longevity. DRESS COMFORTABLY as you will learn how to stretch and self-massage various parts of the body associated with the injuries discussed.
