Do you know how many professional development and/or mentoring hours are required? Do you know your scope of practice restrictions? Do you know the punishment for not maintaining registration? You should!
Nevada Revised Statute 656A is the Nevada law that governs interpreter qualifications. Kim and Tamika will explain what the law requires for registration, how to maintain your registration and how the complaint process works.
After the three hour workshop, please join NVRID as we host the annual luncheon, business meeting, and elections (Your vote COUNTS!).Lunch from Broadway Pizzeria will be provided at no charge if you chose to attend. Please RSVP your attendance for this in the 'comments' section when registering under the www.nvrid.org events calendar found in the events tab. Additionally, if there are any dietary restrictions, do include this in the 'comments' section as well when registering.
